Hydrogen Fuel Cells

Hydrogen is one of the most abundant elements available to man. Hydrogen fuel cells focus around using this resource to generate power. Although fuel cells have been a target of attention in the past few years, they have actually been in existence for over a century and a half. Companies like VersaPower in Jefferson County, Colorado have taken steps toward developing hydrogen fuel cells for widespread, commericalized use. Jefferson County is also home to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), which is focused on improving the efficiency of modern-day fuel cells.
