One of Colorado’s most abundant resources is the sun. In fact, in many parts of Colorado we typically have over 300 days a year of sunshine. This natural resource makes Colorado and Jefferson County in particular, an outstanding location for companies that are conducting photovoltaic research and development. Jefferson County is home to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) which is the Nation's primary laboratory for renewable energy and energy efficiency research and development. The NREL Technology Partnerships team collaborates with industry to develop research partnerships using a variety of agreements to leverage NREL's research technology and facility capabilities.
